The fuel tank sending unit seal prevents gasoline from sloshing out of the top of of the tank where the sending unit is installed. The seal fits 1962 to 1977 Standard Beetle, 1962 to 1974 Karmann Ghia, 1962 to 1973 Type 3 (Notchback, Squareback, Fastback), and 1973 to 1974 Thing models.
